Try it without installing anything
Our free Secret Santa generator needs no account and no email: enter the names, add exclusions, and text each person their own private link. For a one-off draw, that is all you need.
What Drawnames does well
Drawnames lets you draw names without an account, add exclusions, send invitations by email, text or WhatsApp, share wish lists, browse a gift finder, and even watch the draw live. It is free and very widely used.
Where GIFTO is different
Anonymous chat with your match. When the organizer turns it on, you can ask the person you drew for a size or a colour — or answer your own Secret Santa — without revealing who you are.
Five exchange types, not just a draw. Besides the classic Secret Santa (with or without wish lists), GIFTO runs event mode — one shared list where guests reserve what they bring, ideal for a baby shower or a wedding —, a surprise party where guests chip in for the guest of honour without them seeing the list, and a solo mode.
A playful reveal. On exchange day, the organizer can turn the reveal into a game (scratch card, questions, random pick) instead of showing a plain list.
Native apps. GIFTO runs on iPhone, Android and in any browser at www.gifto.world, with push reminders instead of emails that end up in spam.
Invite with a link, a code or a QR code. Drop it in the family group chat and everyone joins on their own.
What GIFTO doesn’t do
GIFTO is newer and much smaller. It has no gift finder or curated catalogue. To take part in a draw inside the app, each person opens the invite and signs in (email, Google, Apple and other options). If your group won’t create accounts, the no-sign-up generator above is the better fit.
Common questions
Is GIFTO free?
Yes — free and ad-free, on iPhone, Android and the web.
Can I stop partners from drawing each other?
Yes. Add a draw restriction in the group settings before launching, in both directions.
Can the organizer see every match?
Not by default — they only see their own. They can check one assignment at a time if something needs fixing, and the full list becomes visible to everyone once the exchange is marked finished.
